We were a bit late getting back to the Lodge's Saloon (missed January, but made it March 7, 2009), but we were not disappointed with our treatment and the great time we had. This was another of our reunions (our party comes in from Middletown, MD and Pittsburgh, PA to this "middle point") and as with all the times before, we had great friendly service, "no rushing" feeling (we sat, ate, talked, and drank for 4 hours), and wonderful food and desserts. We particularly liked the Chicken Fingers (lightly battered and wonderfully seasoned) and 3 of us had the Smokin Gouda Burger that was cooked to order with fresh crisp lettuce, tomato, and onion. And the BBQ sauce was excellent! We've been coming here for 10 years now, and look forward to our next get-together when the lake is thawed and the leaves are back! Great job folks!

We visited Deep Creek Lake this past weekend from Shrewsbury PA with 7 other couples for some snow and fun. We had never been there before and were looking for some good food to celebrate our Valentines Day weekend. We talked to some locals who all raved about The Pine Lodge Steakhouse and recommended that we eat there. Normally it isn’t easy to get so many people to agree on a place to eat but I am glad we choose the Pine Lodge Steakhouse.
When we got there I came across a gentleman named Joe who was extremely kind and courteous. Joe made several suggestions about what he preferred on the menu and some other good menu favorites. Joe took great care of us and made sure our dinning experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Several of us tried Joe’s recommendations from the menu and were extremely pleased with the taste and quality of the food. My personal favorite was the Ahi Tuna and Stuffed Flounder with Crab Imperial. The mixed drinks and beers were all top notch and our waiter kept them coming.
The food and service was so great we made it a point to return again the next evening for dinner. We would all recommend The Pine Lodge Steakhouse for anyone visiting Deep Creek Lake. Thanks to Joe and the other staff for making our dinning experience absolutely perfect!

We had not had the best trip up to that point. We made trip all the way from Baltimore to be told that the tubing would not be open as we were told it would be at Wisp. We went to have dinner at a restaurant at Wisp only to be told they were out of food. We searched for another restaurant and most of them were closed on Sunday. Two that were supposed to be open were closed for employee parties. A manager at another restaurant recommended your place. This was a great turn of luck. Out server Lisa was fantastic. She was freindly and attentive and even asked the chef to make chicken scampi for our daughter instead of the usual shrimp scampi. The entire meal was fantastic. My daughter's boyfriend even had the wild game meatloaf and raved about it. If we ever visit your area again, we may stay someplace other that Wisp, which was less than gracious to us but we will be sure to visit your restaurant.

Dear Friend of Maryland Tourism:
On behalf of the I-95 North Welcome Center, Peter Cento and I would like to thank you for hosting our staff during our recent "fam" tour to Garrett County! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the variety of accommodations, many dining opportunities, and warm hospitality of our hosts at each of our stops.
The visit gave each of us a greater appreciation of Garrett County's history and most importantly, showcased the wonderful diversity of cultural, recreational and historic venues "Pretty Close."
Seeing this area first hand will give the staff even more motivation to recommend Garrett County as a year-round destination for travelers looking for "rich and relaxing" opportunities during their stay in Maryland for vacation or for business.

It was amazing ... the food, service all of it! Congratulations ...

Our trips previously directed us to the Boardwalk, however now I would not frequent any other location, this is THE BEST PLACE!
I will continue to recommend and promote your establishment as the absolute BEST!

I want to thank you for allowing Sally and I to bring our puppy with us when we had dinner at your Steakhouse last Monday evening 9/9/02. I was so tired of everyone telling us no pets allowed!
I understand why most places have to set certain rules, but you were most understanding and flexible to accommodate our situation.
I want to let you know that we were greeted and treated wonderfully by Cindy the hostess and our server Paul was excellent. The service and food were outstanding.
I know this was a special one-time situation and if the situation was different you may have not been able to accommodate our puppy "Eddie". I just want to thank you and all who were involved for being considerate and evaluating the situation at the time and making our evening the best it could possibly be.
We will tell all of our friends about your steakhouse and the wonderful hospitality, food and drink that we received.

Just a note of thanks for hosting a great Chamber After Hours event last evening. The food was far and away the best served at any previous affair, and was a great showcase for your new restaurant. More importantly however, was the hospitality and friendliness shown from your staff throughout the evening. They exhibited great customer service and seemed genuinely excited about hosting the group. That is the kind of welcome visitors to our county are looking for so you and your staff should be congratulated for being such good emissaries.

Wanted to thank the staff at Pine Lodge Steakhouse for making special accommodations for an "old friend" reunion we had this past weekend. The arrangements were perfect, the food excellent, the beer/wine cold, and the desserts amazing! Your staff did a stellar job attending to us and the six hour lunch was perfect for us!
